paripesa:Travel stories and memories from Bangladesh
Travel stories and memories from Bangladesh
Bangladesh, a land brimming with colors and vitality, boasts a rich history and unique culture. During a two-week journey, I stepped onto this land and deeply felt its local customs and the way of life of its peopleparipesa.
My journey began in Dhaka. This bustling and noisy city is震撼ing, with crowded streets where rickshaws are constantly whizzing by and vendors shouting their waresMostplay. Upon my arrival in Dhaka, I was infected by its enthusiasm. In front of a small eatery, I tried the traditional ‘Bakirwal’ (Biriyani), whose aromatic flavor I still remember vividly. The layers of the dish are distinct, and the taste of spices is intoxicating. HeyBaji
After leaving Dhaka, I went to the famous Sundarbans forest, one of the largest mangrove forests in the world and the habitat of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Navigating through the rivers by boat, surrounded by lush vegetation, we occasionally saw flocks of birds flying by. Guided by our tour guide, we cautiously explored, hoping to get a close view of those mysterious Royal Bengal Tigers. Although we did not see the real tiger king, in this embrace of nature, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the sounds of insects and birds, I felt a kind of indescribable tranquility.
My next destination was Bangladesh’s ‘Ancient City’, where the ancient architecture and long history deeply fascinated me. Strolling between temples and other structures, I saw many artisans busily creating traditional handicrafts under the sun. I communicated with a potter, who shaped vivid statues with his hands and told me that each piece behind the work tells a story. I also bought some souvenirs, bringing this warm memory home with me.
Of course, the joy of travel lies not only in the scenery but also in the lovely people of Bangladesh. They are warm and friendly, always smiling. Whether haggling in the market or encountering strangers on the street, they are always willing to help. Once, while dining in a restaurant, an aunt from the next table主动 struck up a conversation with me, sharing her family stories and Bangladeshi traditional culture.
This journey allowed me to appreciate the diverse charm of Bangladesh, from bustling cities to tranquil nature, from historical relics to handcraft arts, every detail impressed me deeply. These precious memories are not only a visual delight but also a cultural collision and a heart-to-heart exchange. Bangladesh, this mysterious and beautiful place, will always remain in my heart.
